Master Of Animation, Games & Interactivity

Context:

For themes, games and abstractions, I want to do something I want to do. Abstract things are often puzzling and confusing. When you try to design something, things always become complicated and precise (not abstract). So I try to do something without thinking, and the production process is completely random.

Method:

This is my first contact with fluid art. I try to make this into a freeze-frame animation. . Focusing on the color random changes. In order to avoid the final color confusion, I only chose four colors, white, blue, light blue, and pink. I use a hairdryer to change the color.

This week I started my research on abstract fluid art. I watched many videos of macro room.https://youtu.be/gNbSjMFd7j4 Their videos are creative and entertaining. I learned that we can try to make fluid art paintings with various materials, even steel wire balls or a doughnut. This broadened my mind. I tried to use a straw or hairdryer to achieve some color changes. This form of abstract art uses acrylics with a runny consistency to create psychedelic paintings. There are endless creative possibilities thanks to different ways to combine acrylic paints and there's something so satisfying about watching it spill across a surface.

"Whatever the venue, abstract animation, like music and other abstract arts, is integral to the expression of our nonverbal experiences and imaginings." (Pamela Turner

I think abstraction is irregular, random, and generalized. Because of these characteristics, abstract things look complex and simple. I've seen a lot of abstract animation, but what attracts me most is fluid art. Compared with other animations, this art style is more casual and creative, because all color mixing and production are random and cannot be copied. The artists combine different materials with fluid pigments to produce two-fluid paintings that seem impossible to exist in the world.
