Animated Narratives week 5

Story
A woman is going to attend a masked party on the weekend. She finds a strange mask on the Internet and buys it. At the party, she meets a man and goes on a date after the party, but then she finds that the mask can't be taken off. Sadly, the woman went to the hospital to arrange for a clinical operation.

Reflection

This week, we turn our focus to external representations of internal states (EMIS), which help us understand the externalization of animated characters in performance and dialogue design by looking at the visual effects they give us. I began to try to express the characters' insides through their exteriors and behaviors, and the thinking around the unique abilities of animation would be applied to this theme.

I chose the theme of masked parties and dates, and the fact that falling in love is a common human aspiration resonates with the audience. However, in combination with the feature of mask, people live in the world, to survive in the society, more or less have to wear a mask, which reflects the duality of human beings, but the mask stay for a long time is not easy to remove, this is when people make mistakes, in the wrong occasion.
