This week I used Twine to create a narrative inspired by and incorporating stock photos found on shutterstock.

My goal for this week was to allow a narrative to emerge from the images I was inspired by. I have always had an interest in digital objects as 'found objects' and how they can be recontextualised and given new meaning.

My main inspiration for using stock images in this way is 'These are the Mysteries' (Ricesnot 2013) an ongoing comedy series centered around characters that have emerged from the implicit nature of stock images. The use of found objects is so intrinsical to the series that when the creator Ricesnot bought the license to the high res versions of the images, he photoshopped the shutterstock logo back onto them.
